Nice, Nice, Nice Baby!

After a couple of days in Dijon, France we set on our next adventure to Nice, France where their beaches are the most rocky in the world. Nice is a wonderful French Riveria city, and a popular destination for couples, honeymooners, and sun-worshipers. It's also known for it's french cuisine.
When we arrived, we took a bus to see our good friends named Anthony and Brandon. They are roomates and really, really good friends. Kiana and I have known them since high school. It turns out that they payed attention in our cooking class because they are now excellent cooks. They prepared Quiche au Saumon et Crevettes (Salmon and Shrimp Quiche). It was new and delicious at the same time. After dinner we tasted a divine Merlot wine, and to finish the night off we went on a Gondola Ride. =)

Dijon, France....or Dijon Honey Mustard???

Just landed in Dijon, France and it is FREEZING! Right now it's about 45 degrees and we are so excited to have our first french meal.

Before we go to the hotel we stop at one of the best 5 star restaurants in Dijon, Stephane Derbord. As we take a taxi to Stephane Derbord we see all the beautiful architectual structures in the area. We arrived at Stephane Derbord around 1:30, where we enjoyed Les Queues de Langoustines Rôties en Filo, Fumet à la Verveine, Tempura de Fenouil which in English translates to shrimp and toast. In my opinion the meal was delicious and was very different from what we are accustomed to.

Le Restaurant
We learned at the restaurant that they used home grown spices. They have more of an abundance of spices than we Americans use. We also got a chance to meet the owner and chef of the Stephane Debord.
